When and how did you get started in racing?

My father tuned engines on th S-3 sprint car and later the S-3 Late model, so I grew up around the races.

Who had the biggest impact on your racing career and why?

Well my Father obviously gave me the biggest break by putting me in good equipment for my entire racing career and he took me to my first sprint car race. It was when the Posse came to Winchester Speedway one weekend. I remember Fred Rahmer was in the Busch #21 and Donnie Kreitz was in his own 69. Donnie would carry the front wheels off the ground all the way down both straight aways. To a kid like me, seeing that was better than Christmas morning. From that moment on I always said I was gonna drive a sprint car.

What would you be doing if you weren't racing?

Running my business

What is your favorite aspect of racing?

To us, racing is a family deal. I really enjoy spending time with our family at the races and working on the car. Also I enjoy the time that I spend at the races with all of the great people that I have met over the years, and oh yeah, Winning is pretty nice too.

What is your greatest accomplishment/best memory?

Stepping on the throttle for the first time in a 410 at Williams Grove. I finally had reached my goal.

What is the worst thing that has happened to you in racing, or your worst season?

Losing my friend Billy Kimmel

In your own words, describe your 2007 season:

A season full of learning. We had an awful season as far as finishes but we learned a lot and I believe that we have the potential to be competitive.

What are your plans for the 2008 season?

Continue to race at Williams Grove and compete at Lincoln more

Where do you see Sprint Car racing five years from now?

Hopefully in a solid state. But unless something is done to keep motor costs down and tire costs down, I'm not sure where it will be.

What is your ultimate goal?

Meet Bruce Ellis in victory lane at Williams Grove, and maybe be mentioned in Jerry Riegle's top 50 in AARN ha.

Anything else you would like to add?

Just many thanks to Walter and Marsha Dyer for giving me the chance to drive the 461, to my wife for putting up with me, my dad for helping me through life, and the few fans I have for cheering for me even when I'm slow.
